Tenderloin: Tenderloin, bordered by Geary, Market and Larkin streets Potentially deadly assault: On the 400 block of Ellis Street at 2:35 a.m. Oct. 21, four men (two adults and two youths) approached a 38-year-old man on the street allegedly to rob him, and during an ensuing struggle the victim was shot in the chest with a handgun. The assailants fled, two in a car and two on foot. With the help of several witnesses, officers arrested all four suspects. All have been charged with robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy. In addition, the two juveniles (15 and 17 years old) were charged with resisting arrest. The victim, a parolee with a history of drug dealing, lives in the city of Richmond.
